YUTELNEWS.com | Salah satu Pemain Persib Marc Klok, mendirikan Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) khusus anak disabilitas di Kampung Ciririp, Desa Mukapayung, Kecamatan Cililin, Kabupaten Bandung Barat (KBB).
SLB tersebut didirikan pada 19 Oktober 2023 lalu dan bangunan SLB tersebut akhirnya rampung dan resmi digunakan, pada Selasa 5 Desember 2023.
Dirinya memberi nama untuk SLB tersebut, Budi Mulia, dengan tujuan untuk membantu anak-anak di Bandung Barat, dalam menggapai mimpi dan ikut mencerdaskan bangsa, dirinya yakin hadirnya pendidikan tersebut dapat membuat seseorang menjadi lebih bijak menghadapi kehidupan.
“Kami memberi anak-anak masa depan yang lebih baik, membuat mereka punya mimpi yang lebih besar. Saat mereka datang ke sekolah ini, mereka bisa merasa senang, bisa belajar, dan menjadi lebih pintar, lebih bijak, lebih peka dalam hidup, dan paham dengan adanya naik turun kehidupan,” kata Marc Klok dalam keterangan resminya, Rabu 6 Desember 2023.
SLB Budi Mulia tersebut diperuntukkan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus dengan total 53 murid, dan 15 tenaga pengajar.
Uniknya, sekolah ini didesain ramah lingkungan yang memanfaatkan bahan baku eco-brick berupa batu bata yang dibuat dari sampah plastik daur ulang. Setiap ruang kelas yang dibangun, dapat secara efektif menghilangkan hingga 2 ton sampah plastik dari lingkungan.
Pembangunan sekolah tersebut merupakan komitmen yayasan Marc Klok Foundation, yang didirikan Marc Klok berkerjasama dengan organisasi nirlaba Happy Hearts Indonesia (HHI), kedua lembaga ini sepakat untuk berkontribusi bagi sektor pendidikan, sosial, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan.
“Kami ingin memberikan dampak untuk Indonesia, lalu kami memulai dengan proyek ini,” Kata Marc Klok.
Pemain bola keturunan Indonesia-Belanda tersebut, sengaja memilih Cililin Bandung Barat, sebagai lokasi pertama pembangunan SLB karena mudah dijangkau, selain itu, daerah tersebut merupakan salah satu basis pendukung Persib/Bobotoh.
“Jadi ini tentu menyenangkan bisa berkontribusi dengan mereka yang dekat dengan tempat saya bermain, selain itu, jaraknya juga masih terjangkau bagi saya untuk bisa menjalankan kegiatan di sini, melihat anak-anak di sini, memantau proyek saya ini, itu kenapa Cililin jadi pilihan pertama saya,” jelas dia.
“Lalu setelah saya mendengar cerita anak-anak di sini dan situasinya, melihat kesulitan yang dihadapi di hidupnya, saya mersa yakin bahwa saya bisa memberikan kontribusi di sini,” tambahnya.
Marc Klok bertekad akan terus berkontribusi di bidang pendidikan, lingkungan, dan olah raga, Dalam waktu dekat ia berencana membangun lapangan sepakbola di Jakarta dan satu sekolah lainnya itu di Lombok.
‘Ya, ada rencana untuk memperbaiki sekolah lainnya, kami juga berencana membuat lapangan sepakbola, Karena menurut saya, kombinasi ini sangat luar biasa, bukan hanya di bidang pendidikan saja. Oleh karena itu, saya memilih membuat lapangan sepakbola dan ruang kelas,” Pungkasnya.
