YUTELNEWS.com | Jepara- Peserta didik jurusan kriya kayu dan rotan SMK Negeri 2 Jepara mendapat beasiswa pendidikan dari Pemerintah Kabupaten Jepara. Totalnya mencapai Rp 30 juta untuk 30 siswa. Penerima bantuan ini ialah murid yang menekuni keterampilan seni ukir.
Beasiswa diserahkan Penjabat (Pj) Bupati Jepara H. Edy Supriyanta, Senin (22/1/2024), pada saat acara peluncuran branding program keahlian dan bazar produk SMK Negeri 2 Jepara. Bertempat di ruang pamer Craft and Craft Galery sekolah tersebut.
Menurut Pj Bupati, bantuan pendidikan ini untuk mendukung regenerasi pengukir muda masa depan yang unggul dan kompetitif. “Itu bentuk perhatian Pemda Jepara. Saya tidak melihat sekolah yang jadi kewenangan provinsi. Namun, dia itu orang Jepara wargaku,” ujarnya.
Selain beasiswa, Pemkab Jepara kini tengah menyiapkan materi ajar seni ukir sebagai kurikulum mulok atau muatan lokal pada jenjang SMP. Nantinya, lulusan dengan minat kompetensi ini diarahkan bisa masuk SMK Negeri 2 Jepara. “Setelah lulus SMP dengan minat seni ukir, anak-anak diarahkan masuk SMK ini agar kemampuannya semakin terasah,” kata Pj. Bupati Jepara.
Harapannya mereka menjadi ahli ukir setelah lulus dari SMK Negeri 2 Jepara. Proses ini bakal terus dipantau oleh pemerintah. Begitu pula saat bekerja, gajinya dihargai sebagai spesialis seni. “Jadi nominalnya tidak UMR, tapi bisa di atasnya,” tuturnya.
Bazar di Craft and Craft Galery, menampilkan beragam karya terbaik murid SMK Negeri 2 Jepara. Aneka kreasi yang ditawarkan diantaranya meliputi barang mebel, produk fashion, aksesoris hingga pernak-pernik lain.
Penjabat Bupati Jepara berharap, pemasaran produk tersebut bisa berkelanjutan. Ia minta ke depan ada kerja sama antara dinas-dinas terkait, Dekranasda, dan koperasi pegawai pemerintah daerah.
Pemberian beasiswa pendidikan kala itu, diapresiasi oleh Kepala Cabang Dinas Pendidikan Wilayah II Provinsi Jawa Tengah Haris Wahyudi. Dia menilai bantuan ini merupakan bentuk perhatian Pemkab Jepara. Baik pada kemajuan sektor pendidikan maupun pelestarian seni ukir. “Luar biasa Jepara masih menaruh perhatian, terima kasih sekali,” ujarnya.
