YUTELNEWS.com | Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST) di Gedebage, Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, sudah mulai beroperasi. Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bandung melatih puluhan warga untuk melakukan pengolahan sampah organik di TPST tersebut.
TPST seluas sekitar 2,5 hektare itu disebut ditujukan untuk mengolah sampah organik dari wilayah Gedebage dan Kiaracondong. “Sudah berjalan, tapi masih trial and error ya, masih perlu penyesuaian,” kata Sekretaris Daerah Kota Bandung Ema Sumarna, seraya menunjukkan video kegiatan pengolahan sampah di TPST Gedebage, Senin (4/12/2023).
Menurut Ema, pengolahan sampah organik di TPST Gedebage dilakukan oleh petugas dan warga sekitar yang sudah mendapatkan pelatihan. “Ada 69 warga yang sudah dilatih untuk mengolah sampah di TPST Gedebage. Tapi, yang namanya masih awal-awal, masih trial and error. Mudah-mudahan bisa cepat terbiasa,” ujarnya.
Ema menjelaskan, sampah yang masuk ke TPST Gedebage akan dipilah menggunakan mesin. Sampah dipisah antara jenis organik, anorganik, dan residu. Sampah organik selanjutnya akan dicacah menggunakan mesin Gibrik Mini. Di TPST Gedebage disebut sudah disiapkan enam mesin Gibrik Mini.
Sampah organik yang sudah dicacah itu dijadikan pakan untuk maggot atau larva lalat. Di TPST Gedebage itu disebut disiapkan 175 biopond maggot. Sementara sampah anorganik akan dibawa ke Lawe untuk diolah menjadi refuse derived fuel (RDF).
Ema mengatakan, pihaknya akan terus melakukan pendampingan untuk mengoptimalkan pengolahan sampah di TPST Gedebage. “Kita juga akan lakukan pendampingan terus, jadi target pengurangan 60 ton sampah per hari di sana bisa tercapai,” kata Ema. (senin 04/12/23).
