H. Ilson Cong. SE.,M.M merupakan Caleg dari Partai NasDem untuk Propinsi daerah pemilihan Sumbar 5 dengan No Urut 1, sedangkan Ahmad Caleg NasDem untuk daerah pemilihan 50 Kota 1 (Harau – Payakumbuh) dengan No Urut 4.
Caleg NasDem yang juga ketua DPD NasDem 50 Kota itu menyampaikan, berpolitik telah ada sejak zaman dulunya, Nabi Muhammad SAW, menegakan agama ini juga berpolitik, berstrategi, atau lebih kita kenal siyasah.
Presiden Turki Recep Tayyib Erdogan menyampaikan, mari kita orang baik baik masuk ke partai politik, kalau tidak partai politik akan ditempati orang jahat.
Apalagi saat sekarang, kita butuh perubahan, dan sekarang saatnya kita lakukan, melalui partai NasDem dengan urut 5, dengan calon presidennya Anies Rasyid Baswedan.
Kampanye Caleg NasDem ini juga dihadiri oleh Panwaslu Nagari Setempat dan juga puluhan masyarakat Jorong Si Api Api,masyarakat Si Api Api sangat berharap H.Ilson Cong dan Ahmad duduk di dewan nantinya.
Ahmad selaku Caleg NasDem dan juga mantan Wali Nagari Simalanggang tsb meminta kepada masyarakat Jorong Si Api Api untuk sama sama datang ke TPS dan mencoblos partai NasDem (No. 5).No Urut 4. Ahamad untuk DPRD 50 Kota dan No Urut 1. H.Ilson Cong.SE.M.M.Dt.Mongguang untuk DPRD Propinsi.
Dari masyarakat setempat juga menyampaikan,uda Irwan sebut dipanggil sehari hari,Irwan juga tokoh muda di Nagari Simalanggang sangat termotivasi dengan Posisi Partai NasDem mengusung Anies sebagai Calon Presiden dengan Jargon Perubahan.
Beliau berpesan “tolong inok inok an bona sebelum mamiliah karano beliau ba duo ko lah teruji selamo memimpin,” jadikan nan lah duo periode ko menjadi loncatan untuak kito mamiliah jan sampai gagal juo urang Simalonggang dalam mamiliah 14 Februari 2024 bisuak ko”
